Little Company of Mary - Southern Africa

Welcome

To  the home pages of the Little Company of Mary - Southern Africa. The Southern African region is situated in the two countries, South Africa and Zimbabwe.  Each of these countries has its own unique history, and is politically independent.

Part of an international community founded in England in 1877 to care for the sick, the suffering and the dying. We are a group of women whose vision follows that of our founder Venerable Mary Potter,.

That vision impells us towards creating a society where the needs of all are met, and justice and peace are not simply ideas but lived realities.

Our lives are shaped by the people we serve, by the cultures we have embraced and by the irksome restrictions of border crossings, emigration and customs control as we travel between two countries

Poverty, illness, death and violence are woven into the lives of all those who live within the regions of Southern Africa, and we share the difficulties and the lives of the men, women and children who struggle for their own fullness of life.
